Ask the Spirit to guide you as you read God’s word for today.
Psalm 100

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!

Know that the Lord, he is God!
    It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
    and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!

For the Lord is good;
    his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.”

Psalm 100 ESV

Colossians 4:2-6 NIV (1984)

“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.”
Colossians 4:2 NIV (1984)

  • Even as Paul sits in chains what attitude does he instruct you (and the Colossians) to take for yourself?
  • Paul is sitting in prison – what is his prayer request?
  • What is Paul’s final directive? How are you instructed to walk and speak?
  • How does this effect the way you think of your daily attitude & conversations – do you need to change anything?

May the Spirit guide you as devote yourselves to prayer being watchful and thankful! I will be praying for you!

Thank Offering

Ask the Spirit to guide you as you read God’s word for today.
Psalm 107:21-22

“Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love
and his wonderful deeds for mankind.
Let them sacrifice thank offerings
and tell of his works with songs of joy.”

Psalm 107:21-22NIV

  • Praise Him now for His unfailing love and His wonderful deeds.
  • Though we do not sacrifice as they did in the Old Testament…what can you bring to the feet of The Almighty (time, talent) as a thank offering?

Thank Him as you bring your gifts to Him! I will be praying for you!

Jesus did it

Ask the Spirit to guide you as you read God’s word for today.
Mark 6:41-44

“Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to his disciples to distribute to the people. He also divided the two fish among them all.  They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces of bread and fish. The number of the men who had eaten was five thousand.”

Mark 6:41-44 NIV

  • Jesus here is our example. He gave thanks and God multiplied the blessings – they all were satisfied. Do you have trouble being satisfied? Waiting for what’s next…better…newer…different? Ask God to help you be satisfied where you are.
  • Give Thanks to God – for “Every Good and perfect Gift is from above.” James 1:17. Make a list of 10 gifts no matter how big or small that our Father in Heaven provided for you today!

Thank Him as you rely on Him to create contentment in  your heart! I will be praying for you!
