Hebrews 12:25-29

^”Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken,
and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe.”
Hebrews 12:28

Wat is Paul’s warning?
The Earth has been shaken by the power of God’s voice…what is yet to be shaken?
What is the purpose in this?
If you are a believer, what have you recieved?
What does it mean to you that you are a citizen of Heaven (Philippians 3:20) and your kingdom can not be shaken?
Write a praise to God thanking Him for your heavenly citizenship.

Have you heard it?

You are a citizen of heaven – be secure in that! You can not be shaken! I will be praying for you!

Make a Joyful Noise

Psalm 100

“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!

Know that the Lord, he is God!
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!

For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.”

Psalm 100 ESV

Beautiful! Using this Psalm, write a list of ways we can show God our praise.
Rewrite verse 2 in the first person.
He made you – you are His! Amazing!

May the Spirit grow your understanding of who you are in Christ, how you are loved & all the ways you can praise our God in heaven! I will be praying for you!

He Is Good

His love endures forever! Write an entry praising God for His unfailing love.
How have you seen His love revealed in your life?

Devote Yourself

“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.”
Colossians 4:2 NIV (1984)

Even as Paul sits in chains what attitude does he instruct you (and the Colossians) to take for yourself?
Paul is sitting in prison – what is his prayer request?
What is Paul’s final directive?How are you instructed to walk and speak?
How does this effect the way you think of your daily attitude & conversations – do you need to change anything?

May the Spirit guide you as devote yourselves to prayer being watchful and thankful! I will be praying for you!

Thank Offering

Psalm 107:21-22

“Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love
and his wonderful deeds for mankind.
Let them sacrifice thank offerings
and tell of his works with songs of joy.”

Psalm 107:21-22NIV

Praise Him now for His unfailing love and His wonderful deeds.
Though we do not sacrifice as they did in the Old Testament…what can you bring to the feet of The Almighty (time, talent) as a thank offering?

Thank Him as you bring your gifts to Him! I will be praying for you!

Jesus did it

Ask the Spirit to guide you as you read God’s word for today.
Mark 6:41-44

“Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to his disciples to distribute to the people. He also divided the two fish among them all. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces of bread and fish. The number of the men who had eaten was five thousand.”

Mark 6:41-44 NIV

Jesus here is our example. He gave thanks and God multiplied the blessings – they all were satisfied. Do you have trouble being satisfied? Waiting for what’s next…better…newer…different? Ask God to help you be satisfied where you are.
Give Thanks to God – for “Every Good and perfect Gift is from above.” James 1:17. Make a list of 10 gifts no matter how big or small that our Father in Heaven provided for you today!

Thank Him as you rely on Him to create contentment in your heart! I will be praying for you!

You are my Salvation

Psalm 118:20-21

Open for me the gates of the righteous;
I will enter and give thanks to the Lord.
This is the gate of the Lord
through which the righteous may enter.
I will give you thanks, for you answered me;
you have become my salvation.
Psalm 118:20-21NIV

Give Thanks to the Lord – He has given you Jesus – the gate to righteousness (John 10:9) the key to salvation.
Write a prayer thanking God for the gift of Jesus Christ and the salvation that comes through Him.

Allow the Spirit to work in your life as you thank God for the gift of your Savior! I will be praying for you!

Got Peace

Philippians 4:6-7

^”Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

You are instructed not to worry about anything ! What are you supposed to do instead?
When you present your requests to God – what is the attitude you should have as you come before the Almighty Father in prayer?
What is the result if we come before Him with our prayers and a thankful heart?
Thank Him now…then lay your burdens at His feet and ask Him to fill you with His peace!

Allow the Spirit to work in your life as you lay down your burdens with a thankful heart! I will be praying for you!

In all Circumstances

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

“Rejoice always,pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances;
for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NIV

1 Thessalonians 5:18 instructs us to be thankful in ALL circumstances. Is there something in your life that is difficult, are you asking God – why me? Write it down and then thank him for it…God promises in all things He works for the good of those who love and serve Him.
Write a prayer asking that He would reveal the purpose of this trial and His guidance as He grows you through adversity.

Allow the Spirit to work in your life as you thank Him in every circumstance! I will be praying for you!

Faithfully Serve

Ask the Spirit to guide you as you read God’s word for today.
Matthew 25:14-30

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”
Ephesians 25:14-30

In the Matthew passage Jesus shares with us the picture of a faithful servant. What characteristics did the faithful servants reveal?
If you are a believer, you are saved by God’s gift of grace through faith in Christ. Still, it is in this faith we were created by God to do “good works.”

*You HAVE received a gift! (1 Corinthians 12:4-6)
* God asks you to USE your gifts! (1 Peter 4:10)
* DON’T BURY YOUR TALENTS!

Ask God to reveal to you today your talents and how you can best use them in service to Him! Write down your prayer…pray it frequently and watch as God grows you.
