Matthew 7:24-25

Where is your house built?
Choose the rock that will not fail and do not depend on this world or yourself to form the foundation. The rains will come and the winds will blow…

John 17: 20-26

John 17:20

Who is Jesus praying for in this passage?
You! If you know Jesus as your savior then He is praying for you! It really is too much to even fathom. From v. 21 what does he ask God to provide?
Jesus desires that we would be unified just as the Father and the Son are one. What is the result of that connection? Finish the SO THAT statement.
When this occurs what is accomplished (v. 23)?
Ultimately the world does not know God. But, Jesus has made Him known for what purpose?
Jesus desires that the love of God would be in us and that He would be in us (John 15:1-11). This is a love so great and deep that it can transform us and the world. Respond to this amazing love.
What insights does this shine into your life and how will you respond and apply it? Write down your thoughts and ask the Lord to lead you on this journey into deeper love with Him

There is no love greater than the love of God for us. Ask the Spirit to draw you deeper into relationship with Him that you would understand how wide, long, high & deep is the Love of Christ! Praying for you!

Our Hope…His Love

Psalm 33

^{“We wait in hope for the Lord;

    he is our help and our shield.

In him our hearts rejoice,

    for we trust in his holy name.

May your unfailing love be with us, Lord,

    even as we put our hope in you.“}
Psalm 33:20-22

This is a beautiful Psalm that clearly reveals who God is, His power on this earth, and in the hearts of man. Read over the Psalm and write down all the aspects of our world where God proclaims His authority.
How is God’s love described?
His love is unfailing as we wait in hope, trusting in Him… what should the condition of our heart be (v. 1-3 & v. 21)?
The Bible continually refers to God’s love as steadfast or unfailing (Genesis 39:21, Exodus 15:13, Psalm 36:7, Jeremiah 9:23-24, 1 Corinthians 13:8) . What does it mean to you to trust in a God whose love never fails?

He is our only Hope… Praying that the Lord will renew your strength, cover you with His peace, provide His shield, and fill you with His love as you put your hope in Him! Praying for you!

Using the passage write the actions words that describe how we are called to honor God.
Seek – Praise – Tell… Pray about how the Lord is calling you to do this today! Record some things you can do today to bring Him honor and glory!

May this worship of our mighty God bring nourishment to your soul. May you feel His presence and guidance as you bring Him glory! Praying for you!

LOVE IS

What is God?! Write it down.
Now pray that all people will see the love of God that He has poured out for us in Jesus Christ (Romans 5:8).
Pray for our nation, and for all the lost and hurting people.
Now… be the love of God to someone today!

Praying that we would shine the light of Christ to this hurting nation today! Praying for you!

What does this passage tell you about human wisdom?
What does this passage tell you about human strength?
Who do you choose to trust… God or man?

Weak is Strong

2 Corinthians 12:1-10

“Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this,
that it should leave me. But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you,
for my power is made perfect in weakness.’”
2 Corinthians 12:8-9

Paul asks God three times to remove his thorn in the flesh. But, what it God’s response?
“May grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”God’s grace is enough… What is your reaction to this?
Write down some thorns in your life. Then, next to it write “My grace is sufficient for you.” Believe it – God is sufficient!
Although God gives Paul an unbelievable & awesome opportunity to experience the third heaven, this is not what he chooses to boast about. Instead, in what does Paul boast (v. 5 & v. 9b)?
When does Paul tell us that God’s power rests on him (and us)?
Our society tells us to brag about what we have, what we do, what we’re good at. But, using v. 10 as a guide… when should we boast?
It is in our humility and weakness that God’s strength shows. Hard for us to see sometimes. Write a prayer and ask God to use your weakness for His glory and to transform you through His strength and power so that He will be glorified!

Praying that you would “humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”(1 Peter 5:6-7).Praying for you!

He is ALL Strength

Isaiah 42:5

“God, the Lord, created the heavens and stretched them out.
He created the earth and everything in it.
He gives breath to everyone,
life to everyone who walks the earth.”
Isaiah 42:5

You are created! Crafted perfectly (Psalm 139) by the Creator of the heavens and the earth! You are created… He is Creator – who do you choose to rely on for your strength?
Take time now to trust Him who gives life and breath. Praise His name for this day & for His Spirit that lives in you.

May you pour out your praise as you trust Him for the light in the darkness, His love, grace, mercy & your very breath. Praying for you!
