Romans 12:1-2

“And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”
Romans 12:1-2

Here Paul pleads with the Romans – and you – to present God with what kind of sacrifice?
Do you think of yourself as a living sacrifice? What does that look like to you (Mark 12:31-32)?
What is the purpose of this kind of sacrifice?
You are warned not to conform to the ways of this world, what are you called to do instead?
What are the results of this transformation?
REMEMBER: God can not transform you unless you are willing to begin by putting your sweet sacrifice on His altar. Will you do it now?

God wants you as a holy & acceptable sacrifice! Lay yourself down for Him now – it will bring amazing changes. I will be praying for you!

1 Thessalonians 5:9-11

“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up.”
1 Thessalonians 5:11

When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior you obtain what?
Through whom did you obtain your salvation?
Because Christ died for you…what is your ultimate destiny?
Define the word therefore…
This passages tells us….that because God has saved us from wrath & given us salvation through Christ so that we might live with Christ forever we should___________.
Based on this passage where should our source of encouragement come from?
When you encourage others, does it ever occur to you to encourage them by reminding them of their eternal destiny? Is there really any better encouragement?
So often we get caught up in our worldly circumstances. We give encouragement based on what people have or have done. But, here God tells us to encourage one another based on what Christ did for us! A reminder of our ETERNAL destiny.
Who can you encourage today?!

Encourage one another. Build up the Body of Christ! I will be praying for you!

1 Peter 4:10-11

“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another”
1 Peter 4:10a

Have you ever considered your God given gifts – spiritual or physical? The amplified Bible defines them as “a particular spiritual talent, a gracious divine endowment.” Read Romans 12:3-6
Pray and ask God to help reveal what your gifts are. What has God shared with you…write it down.
What does 1 Peter 4:10 tell you about how you are to use your gifts?
What does it mean to be a faithful steward?
Verse 11 instructs us not to use our own power, but God’s. What is the purpose in using God’s strength?
Go to the Lord…what is God calling you to do today with the gifts that He has given you?
