Psalm 121

“I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.”

Psalm 121:1-2 NIV

Read all of Psalm 121. Take it all in! Absorb it! Rejoice in it! Where does your help come from?

Pray that the Holy Spirit will work in your heart as you trust in the Lord ! I will be praying for you!

How has the Spirit moved you as you put your hope in the Lord.

How are you to trust the Lord?
What are you told not to do?
What is the result if you Trust in the Lord?
What do you need to trust God for today? Give it to God and ask for His wisdom and guidance.

I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ”

How do you look at your gains & losses. With a heavenly view or an earthy one. Comment on what your perspective is & what perspective God desires you to have.

Pray that the Holy Spirit will open your eyes to see what is true gain – the surpassing worth of knowing Jesus ! I will be praying for you!

He’s not finished with you yet! When you became a follower of Christ – He began His good work in you. Write about the changes that you’ve seen in your life as you seek him.
Can you see any parts of your life that need some shaping. Give them to God here and ask Him to guide you through the process of transformation.

What does this passage tell us about the purpose of the book of Proverbs – make a list.
If we are to gain knowledge in any way – where does it start?
Why do you think that knowledge begins with the Lord (see also Genesis 1, James 1:5-8)?
Write a praise thanking God for giving you knowledge and ask Him to help you to grow in your knowledge of him & to understand what it truly means to fear the Lord?

1 Peter 4:2 instructs you in how to live your life. What does it tell you to do.
We need to be prepared at all times, verses 7-11 give us some specifics about how to live. Make a list of actions you are asked to take.
Have you ever considered that the purpose in your life is to bring glory to the Father through Christ? Write your reaction- how is the Spirit moving you?

“Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by agreement for a limited time, that you may devote yourselves to prayer; but then come together again, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.”

This speaks specifically about the marriage relationship. Still, reflect on what the lack of self control could allow in your life?
Have you felt the tug of temptation in your life recently? Do you think that there is a lack of self control in this regard?
Write a prayer asking the Spirit to grow the fruit of self control where you feel most weak.
