Ephesians 2:11-22
- As Paul wrote to the Ephesian Church he noted what separated them (Gentiles) from the Jewish nation. Make a list of their (and your) state without Christ.
- How did they and you gain relationship with God?
- “Christ himself is our ______________.” v. 14
- Make a list of What Christ destroyed.
- Christ came and preached his message both near and far. Write His message in large letters.
- Make another list of what you now have access to in Christ.
- Rewrite v.22 changing it to first person.

Do you Choose His Peace

- Those who follow their sinful nature set their minds on what desires?
- When you choose to live according to the Spirit you set your mind on what the Spirit desires. Look back to Galatians 5:22,23 and record what traits the Spirit desires.

Peace and Love Poured Out
Ask the Spirit to guide you as you read God’s word for today.
Romans 5:1-5
“Therefore since we have been justified by faith,
we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ”
Romans 5:1b
- Alone we stand before God unworthy and unable to have a relationship with Him. Romans 5:1 explains that you have been justified through what act?
- Faith in Christ then enables us to have what gift?
- Because of this faith you have gained access to what state?
- You stand (an action word) in His grace and peace. Knowing this, even in your sufferings you can
depend on God’s peace. Rewrite Romans 5:34 using this example…Suffering = perseverance
perseverance = - Why does Hope in Christ bring no disappointment (v. 5)?
You always have hope and the Love of God POURED into you through His Spirit!
Soak it up and drink it in…then live today remembering the power of that precious gift!!!!!!

The Gift of the Spirit is Peace

- Who is the “Helper” (Counselor)?
- What does Jesus tell you that the Spirit will do in your life?
- What does Jesus promise to leave you?
- Are you ever fearful? Jesus gives us a firm instruction in John 14:27b. Write it down! Underline it! Circle it! Live it!
- Jesus show’s us here that His spirit of peace can overcome fear. What do you need to put in His hands today as you accept His gift of peace?

Joyful in Hope

- What does it mean to put your hope in the Lord (Romans 5:1-5)?
- Paul shares with you the attitude you should carry as you put your hope in the Lord. Describe the attitude and action you should take.
- The gift of the Spirit is joy, but you must put your hope in Him and not earthly things or accomplishments. Is there anything you need to change in your perspective to make room for the hope and joy that comes only from Christ?
