Ask the Spirit to guide you as you read God’s word for today. Remember to read the entire passage.
“The Lord is my strength and my song,
and he has become my salvation;
this is my God, and I will praise him,
my father’s God, and I will exalt him.”
- Moses wrote this song after God had brought them to safety after crossing the Red Sea. It is too awesome to even imagine what it must have been like to walk through that expanse on dry land. Does Moses claim this magnificent act for his glory. No… who does he direct our eyes to?
- Where did Moses receive the strength to lead his people out of captivity?
- Notice the word he uses here, “is.” Moses says… “The Lord is my strength.” (emphasis mine). Does that change your perspective on how you will get through today?
- Like Moses… write down your thanks to the Almighty. That you might sing His praise for the strength that He gives.
Some days it may seem like little. Some days it may seem like much. But all days you can be certain… that when you put your life in His hands – your strength is His. He will not leave you – not for a second! May He meet your every need as He carries you through this day. Praying for you!
