Ask the Spirit to guide you as you read God’s word for today. Remember to read the entire passage.
Exodus 50:15-21
“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.”
Exodus 15:20
- Read Genesis 37. What did Joseph’s brothers do? Why do you think they did it?
- Do you think that Joseph’s brothers had good intentions when they sold him as a slave?
- As Genesis 50:20 tells us… No they did not mean it for good… But God! I love that… But God!!!!!! He is awesome! How did God use their selfish actions?
- Ultimately God saved the Nation of Israel through this act. Nothing is by accident. Our tough times are being used for His good and for His purposes (Romans 8:28). Write down a struggle in your life and pray that the Lord would use it for His good and His glory. Put it in His hands…
What a blessing to know that “in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” This doesn’t mean life is perfect or easy. But it does mean that it has meaning and purpose. Praying today that He would touch your life and work things together for His good and His glory! Praise God that He will do it!
