Ask the Spirit to guide you as you read God’s word for today. Remember to read the entire passage

James 4:13-15

 “ Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”—  yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.  Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.”
James 4:13-15

• Are you a planner? Are sudden changes hard for you? Do you have your next mon/year/ten years planned out?
• James points out the often short sightedness in our planning in verse 14a…write it down.
• Instead, what does he instruct us to “say”?
• So, basically you have a choice…Trust God who knows all eternity to arrange the days of our life, or trust ourselves who know nothing. What do you choose?
