Ask the Spirit to guide you as you read God’s word for today. Remember to read the entire passage
“Posterity shall serve him;
it shall be told of the Lord to the coming generation;
they shall come and proclaim his righteousness to a people yet unborn,
that he has done it.”
- Within this Psalm is a picture of Christ! What an awesome reminder that the plan of salvation existed long before the coming of Christ. Read Matthew 27. Share your reaction to this amazing piece of the story of our redemption.
- Time and time again in this Psalm David calls out to God… “I cry by day, but you do not answer.” Each time his cries are followed by a “Yet.” Even when he doesn’t feel God’s presence He responds with what He knows. Write down what David knows to be true.
- I have a friend who once told me we need to combat our irrational emotions with what we know. It’s about what we think not about what we feel. How does David display this in this Psalm.
- How can you incorporate that response in your life?
All the ends of the earth shall remember – may you never forget! I will be praying for you!
