Ask the Spirit to guide you as you read God’s word for today.
Luke 15:1-7
“There will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents
than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.”
Luke 15:7
- Do you feel lost? Is there a piece of your heart/mind/body that you are not giving to God? Are you involved in a habitual sin (gossip, hatred, coveting, unforgiveness)? Are you avoiding God’s call? Pray about it…What is standing between your heart and a relationship with the Living God?
- God sent Jesus to build a bridge between you and God…Jesus is searching for you in your lostness right now. He is reaching out to you…turn away from your sin and turn to Christ, “in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” (Colossians 1:14). Pray and write about how you are going to take action today.
- REMEMBER – YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Romans 8:10-11 reminds us that if you know Christ you “the Spirit of Him who raised Christ from the dead is living in you.”
- So, how is this a gift to God…seems like He’s doing all the work. But, it brings God joy to see our heartfelt repentance. Re-write Luke 15:7 replacing “one sinner” with your name!
Repent today – all of heaven will rejoice! I will be praying for you!
